SIMPLY SANGRIA

SIMPLY SANGRIA

  • 1 gallon dry red wine

  • 4 oz sugar

  • 46 fl oz pineapple juice

  • 8 oz can pineapple chunks

  • 1 orange, sliced into rounds

  • 1 lime, sliced into rounds

In a large punch bowl combine red wine, sugar and pineapple juice. Mix in the pineapple chunks, orange slices and lime slices. Serve chilled.

BERRY BONANZA

  • 3.5 pints cold water

  • 1lb sugar

  • 750ml fresh lemon juice

  • lemon peel

  • 8oz raspberries

  • 8oz blackberries

  • ice cubes

  • soda

Prepare sugar syrup:

  1. In 4-quart saucepan, heat 2.5 pints water with sugar and lemon peel to boiling over high heat, stirring occasionally.

  2. Cover saucepan and boil 3 minutes.

  3. Remove saucepan from heat.

  4. Puree berries until smooth

  5. Pour into medium-mesh sieve set over large bowl and press berry mixture with back of spoon to remove seeds; discard seeds.

  6. Remove peel from syrup

  7. Stir syrup into berry puree with lemon juice and remaining water.

  8. Pour into large pitcher with tight-fitting lid.

  9. Cover and refrigerate until cold, at least 3 hours or up to 2 days.

  10. Serve over ice.

Add soda to taste; garnish with berries and lemon slices.

LAVENDER BLUE

  • 8oz blueberries

  • 750ml vodka

  • 6 fl oz blueberry lavender simple syrup

  • 4 fl oz lime juice

  • Soda water to taste

  • Fresh lavender for garnish

  1. Divide the blueberries between two ice cube trays and fill with water. Freeze completely. OR spread them evenly on a sheet tray and freeze until solid.Di

  2. In a glass pitcher combine the vodka, simple syrup, lime juice, and soda water.

  3. Add ice cubes.

  4. Add remaining ice cubes to glasses.

  5. Pour the mixture over top and serve with a sprig of lavender.

Blueberry Lavender Simple Syrup Recipe

  • 8 fl oz water

  • 8 oz sugar

  • 8 oz blueberries

  • 4 lavender sprigs (or 1-2 teaspoons dried lavender)

  1. Combine these three ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil stirring to dissolve sugar.

  2. Reduce heat to a low simmer and add lavender and keep on low heat for 10 minutes. Strain pressing the blueberries to get all of their juice.
